This brings the number of nurseries operated by Safehands in the North West to 14 and recent acquisitions to 7.
Paul Manning, Managing Director of Safehands Group said “The nursery market in the UK is evolving as regulation gets more and more onerous; it is difficult for standalone nurseries to keep up with the change and administration. The trend to larger groups is inevitable. Safehands offers the benefits of a group without the rigidity of the larger operators. I would like to thank Susan Woodworth for handing the baton to Safehands”.
James Williams of BDO LLP who acted for First Class Nursery commented that, “as a regional operator, Safehands understood the local market and had worked hard to meet the vendor’s requirements”.
Kate Martin, Childcare Operations Manager for Safehands Nurseries, commented ‘’ we have some exciting plans to develop the nursery in the coming months. We will shortly be starting a complete refurbishment to ensure a better layout and feel to the nursery’’
Kate added that “for existing parents it will be business as usual. For prospective new parents, please come along and have a chat with us and we can take you through our exciting vision for the nursery, and hopefully you will soon be signing up for a child place”.
The nursery will be open from 7:30 am until 6:00pm Monday to Friday, offering both grant funded and private funded places for children.
